Hurt feelings are associated with poor choices in food. Hurt feelings become an ingrained excuse to use food to sooth ruffled feathers. It is a reliable quick fix for managing uncomfortable feelings. Yet, this pleasant rush of emotion is replaced by negative thoughts once the food is finished. This perpetuates the cycle. 

What if we began to see the feeling of hurt as being a habituated response? We can then begin to deliberately program a new response. This requires a willingness to choose new meanings and to play with new perceptions. We can begin to create the ability to choose and direct our emotions at the subconscious level. Does it take a little practice? You know the answer to that.

The majority of individuals who access services at Hypnosis for Life have, at one time or another made good use of: 1) traditional clinical psychology services  2) medication  3) community counselling, 12 step programs and/or treatment centers.

These options provide initial needed relief, however, relapse is common. Challenges tend to re-occur until the subconscious mind has fully accepted and absorbed new paths of least resistance.
