Navigating the roles we play often leaves us with little time and energy to seriously consider what it is that we truly want out of this one precious life. Many people try to convince themselves that simply being present, and surviving the day is enough. It isn’t.

At our core we know that there is nothing more important then the feelings of progressing, moving forward, and having the ability to shape our future. At the end of the day we have a deep and abiding need to develop self mastery. This compulsion to grow was strong and evident in our earliest years.

Yet, as time goes by we often settle for less and forget that we are meant to thrive. Regardless of how each of us defines success, we ignore the fact that time passes quickly, and that little will change without our active deliberate involvement.

We know that history repeats itself, until we become conscious and take systematic steps in a new direction. We see generational patterns play out and yet feel powerless to create changes.

But, beneath the surface our original potential waits and struggles to be heard.

The pain of not protecting and caring for the part of ourselves that is waiting for expression often leads to anxiety, depression, anger, insomnia, stress responses and addictions.

There is something incredibly profound, sweet, and deeply satisfying about taking a stand to protect and care for our future selves. 

In many ways we have been swayed to "focus on the now" but this is often to the detriment of the future self, who is dependent on the decisions and actions we take today.  Protecting and caring for our future self means committing to becoming the CEO of our lives.

The majority of individuals who access services at Hypnosis for Life have, at one time or another made good use of: 1) traditional clinical psychology services  2) medication  3) community counselling, 12 step programs and/or treatment centers.

These options provide initial needed relief, however, relapse is common. Challenges tend to re-occur until the subconscious mind has fully accepted and absorbed new paths of least resistance.
