“My wife still does not know I came to see you. But she sees something different, the man I used to be I guess, not the weak one I was becoming. I’m getting another chance and I am trying to teach your process to my kids.” Kent, Los Angeles

Kent is a 43-year-old married professional from Los Angeles who participated via Skype, email and an online private page. A series of significant life transitions had as he put it “taken the wind out of my sails.”  He described himself as having been confident, extroverted enterprising person had who lost steam along the way.

He felt that his confidence was at an all-time low.  He was becoming fearful about his ability to reach his professional goals and even maintaining his daily work standards was becoming difficult. When at home, Kent was easily irritated and began isolating himself. His energy was depleted and he was fearful that his wife would eventually leave him.

Kent was referred by a colleague and was able to spend one full intensive day in the office. This allowed us to begin assessment and to lay the foundation for future work. All subsequent customized program support was delivered online.

Kent’s goal was to get the “old me” back with a few revisions. The custom program designed for him included briefly addressing the transitions that had occurred, his underlying beliefs and the meaning he had subscribed to these situations.

In addition, several new mindset constructs were identified as needing to be installed to influence the subconscious mind to accept an update self-image. A range of Skype sessions, recordings and field assignments and email updates were offered which allowed Kent to work at his own pace.

He was thrilled with the simplicity of the model and has begun to use  age appropriate pieces with his children. He is keenly interested in ensuring that he models and teaches ways of being that will support his sons to grow up with a sense of “unwavering confidence.”

The majority of individuals who access services at Hypnosis for Life have, at one time or another made good use of: 1) traditional clinical psychology services  2) medication  3) community counselling, 12 step programs and/or treatment centers.

These options provide initial needed relief, however, relapse is common. Challenges tend to re-occur until the subconscious mind has fully accepted and absorbed new paths of least resistance.
