Deciding to become the CEO of our lives and becoming absolutely
positively obsessed (A.P.O.) with this intention allows us to begin to
close the GAP between where we are now and where we want to be.
In the last email I suggested that we often lack awareness about how
programmed responses or reactions play out. While many people can
pinpoint areas of challenges in their lives they often are not aware of
the subtle progression of internal cues that begin to build before a
programmed activation occurs.
Without this awareness it is difficult to interrupt patterns and
consciously choose new ways of being. To complicate matters, most people
are even further challenged in being able to articulate precisely what
it is they want to experience as an alternative to an old programmed
Since it is human nature to stay focused on what is going wrong, what
needs to be fixed and what is causing pain, we give ourselves little
opportunity to focus our attention on what it is we do want. The more
emphasis we place on challenges the more we condition, strengthen, and
program the automatic response we do not want.
Therefore, becoming the CEO of our lives is a battle that must begin at the conscious level.
Note-the theme of becoming the CEO of our lives is relevant to all presenting concerns including anxiety, anger, depression, confidence, addictions, stress management, and insomnia.
