Confidence Building for the Introvert

“I have more potential then I am expressing.”

This item is often checked off by individuals who believe they are capable of being more, having more and doing more. Yet, in spite of their best efforts, these people are not satisfied with their lives. This item is also often chosen by those who are also experiencing issues with anxiety, depression or addiction.

This work recognizes that we are each born with unique innate original potential. However, it is almost impossible to escape the damage of social programming. Potential has often taken a back seat in favour of learning to fit in and belong.

In our early years this response may have been required in order to survive. However, when we ignore or fail to nurture our original potential we develop ways of being (thoughts, feelings and behaviors) that are incongruent with our deepest desires. Silencing potential becomes a hardwired path of least resistance that becomes difficult to change until we begin to understand the needs of the subconscious mind.

Our potential relates to the ability to express our innate talents and preferences. It also relates to our ability to confidently manage and influence the environment in order to create the life we desire.

As indicated in Becoming the CEO of Your Life, we must seek to be in charge of ourselves rather than being at the mercy of past programming or current circumstances. Stepping into our potential and allowing its full expression requires an understanding of how to impact our environment and how to influence the subconscious mind, the seat of our identity.

Confidence Building for the Introvert

The majority of individuals who access services at Hypnosis for Life have, at one time or another made good use of: 1) traditional clinical psychology services  2) medication  3) community counselling, 12 step programs and/or treatment centers.

These options provide initial needed relief, however, relapse is common. Challenges tend to re-occur until the subconscious mind has fully accepted and absorbed new paths of least resistance.
