The majority of individuals who access services at Hypnosis for Life have, at one time or another made good use of: 1) traditional clinical psychology services  2) medication  3) community counselling, 12 step programs and/or treatment centers.
These options provide initial needed relief, however, relapse is common. Challenges tend to re-occur until the subconscious mind has fully accepted and absorbed new paths of least resistance.

ADDICTIONS & TRADITIONAL RESOURCES

Visit main addictions hypnotherapy page.

Office sessions and/or addictions hypnotherapy via private portals are available.

When an individual feels that their use is out of control, has created negative consequences and that it is time to seek help, the majority of people turn to traditional resources before considering hypnotherapy for addictions. For example:

  • traditional therapy (individual, family and/or couple)
  • anonymous self help support groups (AA, NA, OA, GA, SAA)
  • in-patient treatment
  • out-patient treatment
  • medical interventions (detox, pharmaceuticals)

While these options certainly offer varying levels of support they rarely create long term positive results. Individuals often come to strongly identify with the addict label and spend the remainder of their lives without the benefit of learning to become the CEO of their lives will always at risk of relapsing.

The majority of people who seek nlp (neuro linguistic programming) and hypnotherapy for addiction issues have already made use of traditional resources. Since the struggle still continues it should go without saying that an important piece of the puzzle is not being addressed.

We are not born to be addicts. Other then those unfortunate incidences of pre-natal exposure and ultimate birth with addiction babes, we are born into a state of original potential. “Relapsing” to this place is the goal. Addictions are learned. The subconscious mind will continue to run an addiction program until it is re-educated via resources that meet its needs.
