“I begin the day feeling stressed.”
Many clients experiencing anxiety begin the day feeling highly agitated and stressed. A new day rarely begins as a “new day.” The day often begins with a feeling of already being depleted.
This sets the stage for being highly vulnerable to both conscious and unconscious triggers. Many individuals with anxiety experience insomnia and have yet to develop awareness around the skills of categorization and compartmentalization.
These factors can set the stage for the challenges of each new day feeling outside of one’s control. This is a vicious cycle that has been absorbed and accepted by the subconscious mind. The programmed thoughts, feelings and behaviors around a new day are easily triggered until the subconscious mind is re-educated.
