ADDICTION RECOVERY-PROTECTING & CARING FOR THE FUTURE YOU JOURNAL SERIES
Supporting the Subconscious Mind to Accept a New Self-Image

PROFILING ASSIGNMENT #1 PART C

IF YOU STRUGGLE WITH SOBRIETY BUT ARE STILL WORKING TOWARDS PROTECTING AND CARING FOR YOUR FUTURE SELF...YOU ARE BECOMING THE CEO YOUR LIFE.

WE NATURALLY BECOME DISCOURAGED WHEN OUR POSITIVE EFFORTS SEEM TO MAKE NO NEW INROADS.

This is because we have been conditioned to expect quick fixes. The use of substances to alter or states is certainly evidence of that.

Yet, we know that people who are successful understand the need for persistence.

We must have a vision of the future self that stretches us, yet is plausible.

We do not set ourselves up for success by expecting big gains without the work. So, what is realistic within the suggested 3 month time frame?

In order to seduce the subconscious mind into accepting and absorbing a new way of being we must have clarity about what it is we want, but we need to understand that the subconscious mind learns incrementally.

To doanswer these questions in your journal:

1. Given the information that I have complied about my subject what one new belief would support me in moving closer to my goal?

2. Given the information that I have complied about my subject what one new consistent thought would support me in moving closer to my goal?

3. Given the information that I have complied about my subject what one new consistent feeling would support me in moving closer to my goal?

4. Given the information that I have complied about my subject what one new consistent behavior or action would support me in in moving closer to my goal?
