Edmonton Hypnotherapy Training, Ethics and Principles of Practice
Hello and thank you for visiting my site. When you call me and when you come in it will be all about you:) For now however, I know you are most interested in learning a little about this work and how I might possibly be a piece of the puzzle in terms of a solution to your "problem." So, I will share a little with you about who I am and how I came into the hypnotherapy business.
My Ultimate Intention
I have been in the "helping profession" for twenty plus years. My main "assignments" prior to hypnosis involved working with families. As a family specialist I worked with parents in crisis, both as a front line worker and as a supervisor. Later as a child protection worker I continued to work with families within a complimentary but very different framework. These positions allowed me to hone my understanding of family dynamics, communication strategies and creative problem solving. Working with these families was an honor; working within the system was not. My deep interest in awakening our potential and my desire to support transformation led me to hypnosis. I bring my years of experience as a social worker, my hypnotherapy training and my own personal beliefs about our capacity for change into the work that I do with Hypnosis for Life. The opportunity to play a role in significant transitions continues to leave me with a sense of being truly honored. My Edmonton hypnotherapy area clinic has been in existence since 2005. I have earned a doctorate in clinical hypnotherapy, have been a registered social worker for twenty years, am a licensed master neuro linguistic programmer and a certified clinical hypnotherapist. Ongoing professional development has included conflict management, crisis intervention, communication strategies, solution focused therapy and supervisory development.
My ultimate intention is always to support people to heal and to move back to their original potential. We can create and build on success in a way that taps into our innate talents. My expectation is always collaboration and participation in the process. I prefer to work with clients who actively engage in this process and become excited about the journey. I often hear from people that they wish they came sooner. The framework we begin to use is one of the most empowering I have ever seen. My clients continue to validate this with their experience.
