In the last email (review email 26) I suggested that our ability to anticipate the robotic subconscious mind allows us to begin to take one step ahead of it.

Training the mind to accept new ways of being (cow paths) requires conscious awareness and the decision to interrupt habituated ways of being. Remember that our ways of being are created through rehearsal and practice. Much of how we operate in the here and now is a result of the influences of external social programming coupled with our lack of understanding about innate potential.

By offering incremental adjustments we support the subconscious mind to gradually learn, accept, and absorb new thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This is a process that requires patience, consistence, curiosity and a willingness to experiment.

I would like to refer you back to email 8 and you will see that, over the course of the last few weeks, we have touched on the questions I posed regarding closing the GAP.

  1. How did I get here? (this place in life)
  2. How do I get there? (that place in life I would prefer to be)

Once again, I encourage you to review the series.

Investing time and energy in this process increases your understanding of the subconscious mind. It is through this understanding that we move toward being the CEO of our lives. Remember that being the CEO of our lives means that we are in charge of our thoughts, feelings and behaviors, rather then being at the mercy of past programming or current circumstances. 

When we view change through the lens of long term incremental shifts we set ourselves up for success with grace and ease.
