Before we dive in today I’d like to congratulate you for sticking with me. Early in this series I suggested that you could begin to close the GAP between where you are now and where you want to be.

By considering what has been offered, you will now be in a different place then you were just over a month ago.

The difference may be slight, and in fact, hardly noticeable to your conscious mind. However, by continuing to be open to what is being offered, you will be making incremental gains in becoming the CEO of your life.

We have covered plenty of material and much of it takes more then a day to process and absorb. I have continued to encourage you to go back and review past emails as this will support your learning.

In the last email (review email 34) I suggested that:

The very ideas and standards we have so willingly adopted via external programming do not necessarily position us to live satisfied lives.

I encouraged you to:
Begin to pay attention, to inspect, and to notice how you are allowing curiosity to play out for you.

The willingness to become curious is crucial when we are aiming to creating new ways of being. Remember that the internal robot (aka subconscious mind):

  • is designed to maintain the path of least resistance (cow path of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors)
  • is also a learning machine

Our job is to get the subconscious mind to sit up and take notice of differences. Plausible, incremental differences are more likely to be swallowed by the subconscious mind. In the last email, I spoke briefly about becoming an amateur social scientist (see workbook).

Today, I am continuing to encourage you to become curious and look for differences:

What ideas and standards does someone, who is just slightly ahead of you, have in terms of being the CEO of their lives? What ideas and standards do you think they have consciously and deliberately chosen?
