When you began this sequential newsletter, I suggested that it was
designed to support you in the process of becoming the CEO of your life.
For most people, there is a GAP between where we are and where we want
to be. I have offered a range of suggestions about how the subconscious
mind operates and have focused on the differences between external and
internal influences. I have repeatedly suggested that the subconscious
mind will always seek to expend the least amount of energy as possible,
and maintain the status quo, even if it is not in our best interest.
Our challenge is in re-educating the subconscious mind while being aware
that there is a dynamic interplay between innate potential and social
Remember, that our original potential (what we are capable of, how we
innately operate) has often taken a back seat to the powerful influences
outside of ourselves.
In this email, I believe that it will be helpful for us to spend some
time looking at innate personality preferences. Doing that allows us to
consider the following:
- our communication styles
- how we make decisions
- how we manage change
- how we manage conflict
These innate personality preferences are always influenced by how we
have been socially programmed. I am including a link to an interpretive
report that will encourage you to continue to be curious about how your
innate preferences are intertwined with the reality of programming. The
link shows a full interpretive report (called step 2). This instrument
is but one of the many that are often utilized in private programming
I encourage you to take some time reviewing the full interpretive report
but to ALSO invest in searching online for a free step 1 MBTI
assessment. The first half of the assessment can be found online, at no
cost. If your self discovery journey includes an interest in the use of
instruments you may find that this is an excellent place to begin.
Remember, our ways of being are not set in stone. We each have natural
preferences but need to remember that circumstances, programming, and
conditioning have often created conflict with our innate potential. We
can determine a new set of beliefs, make new decisions, and take new
actions that are congruent with a freely chosen self-image.
